Professor Hid His Laptop In Attempt to Hide Porn Content
University of Iowa professor of music, Brent Sandy, 55, told police that his work laptop was stolen out of his office January 13, 2014. It turned out Brent was the guy who “stole” the laptop in attempt to hide all the pornographic content (images) he downloaded during the working and non-working hours. This was the panic reaction from Brent and it would be much better and easier if he would just clean the history and all the downloads he made, but know, he rather lied to the police and made things got worst.
He was charged with making a false report, possession of controlled substance and third-degree theft.
Yep, school’s IT department traced the IP of the “missing” computer to Sandy’s home, where police executed a search warrant and also found a small quantity of marijuana.
For only watching pornographic content, in this example images, this is a pretty big deal actually.
If you are doing it on your work computer, just clear the history and downloads and if police asks you something, don’t lie to them and tell the truth and truth only and pretty much everything will be OK, since watching porn is not really a crime.
