50 Shades Of Grey Causing More BDSM Porn Searches

And we are back to 50 Shades Of Grey. Nope, I still haven’t read the book nor watched the video yet. I am lame, right?
After the release of the movie over the Valentine’s Day weekend Pornhub reported increase in BDSM porn searches. In the “what you got off to this week” video-news series Pornhub Aria shares with the world some interesting statistics about BDSM searches after the 50 Shades Of Grey movie premiere.
Just like Bambi decreased deer hunting for a few years 50 SOG increased BDSM porn style searches on Pornhub.com. Their Insights team reported that searches for words like “submission” and “dominate” increased in the range of about 50% since the movie premiere. “Leather,” “master” and “whip” are some of the most used words in the book which caused some notable spikes when it comes to searches on Pornhub too.
One more report that is definitely worth mentioning it. Since women are the biggest audience of 50 Shades Of Grey you can guess it by yourself who is looking for BDSM porn stuff the most. Well, I’ll be kind and help you out. Yes, it’s women. After the movie premiere women become more curious about BDSM and are way more likely to search for BDSM terms. Searches for words like “dominate,” “spanking” and “submission” increased by 150-220% by the female population and just about 20% on average amongst men.
Are we men afraid of searching for BDSM porn stuff or are women just way more curious peeps?
